It’s all very well volunteering in an exotic location…. but being in Myanmar for longer than a couple of weeks has meant some serious vaccinations including the $320 a shot (each person) for Japanese Encephalitis in one arm and a tetanus booster in the other.
So far no side effects… next on the list is a course for rabies over the next month. We suspect this is for possible contact with monkeys rather than wee doggies.
Serious stuff now. And I don’t want to swap places with you that,s for sure. Its best you get the shots now because we would for you to infect the animals !!!!! LOL
There has been quite a bit in the media about Myanmar just recently ( not all good), you are definitely going to be facing a lot of challenges with living standards, but I know this won’t phase either of you wonderful souls.
Loving the blog XXXX
