Fellow AVI volunteer – Caity – is driving the development of an organic urban farm.
The social enterprise is on a rented piece of land in the outer parts of Yangon.
Kokkoya Organics sells produce through monthly subscriptions.
Over the past year her dedicated Myanmar team have experimented with different crops to transform a desolate rubbish-covered ‘block’ into a productive agricultural enterprise.
They even put up the office/training building which will one day be a shop and cafe.
I love being with such committed and visionary people. Thanks for sharing Caity!
Looks amazing and inspiring. It’s fabulous to be amongst positive motivated people. That’s how we feel when we spend time with you !!!

Excellent, is the farm worked by women? What a great transformation; crop looks very healthy. Such a hard physical work. Really commendable.
