A peanut oil ‘factory’ next door

Out our kitchen window is a little peanut oil processing plant run by our landlord’s family.

They have peanuts delivered regularly and basically grind them into oil to sell locally.

I love the simplicity of the fulcrum with rocks and the simple engine spinning the drum.

Peanuts are grown around Bagan. They’te often served roasted with drinks in bars and restaurants and are delicious.
