How are you spending Christmas?

Happy Christmas from Myanmar.

Our day started early with music being played by our lovely neighbours directly across the road… so sleeping in wasn’t an option.

I think our fence is the communal drying line!

Looking to the left. Our local shop is a 1 minute walk.

Gordon popped to the market to buy a pineapple for breakfast. It’s mainly business as usual as for most people this is a normal day.

Luckily we managed to pump water to the roof tank (a daily job) and have a shower before we had a morning power cut and blissful reprieve from the noise… oops music.

Gordon and I are at work today as we have a private Christmas luncheon so it’s all hands on deck!

I nipped home for lunch… bought some corn and broccoli from a woman passing by and selling produce.

It was scrumptious. Dessert was toast with butter and honey. Certainly not the usual Christmas fare but divine all the same.

The very British feasts our Sanon guests had served to them
