Having special friends visit while living away from home is always a treat.
We encourage them to frock up in a traditional longyi and we take them to have a cocktail (or3) and a meal (or2) at Sanon – where we are doing our volunteering. The students (and our neighbours) love it when visitors embrace their culture and wear this ubiquitous garment.
We also see visitors as an opportunity to hire an ebike and take off to explore new places as well as show off our favourite spots.
Riding in a ballon is such a magical experience – but if that isn’t possible… waking up early and seeing them at sunrise waft over the temples is a must if you are here between October and April.
Sunsets are spectacular anytime!
What a fabulous experience for your friends and as always combined with such wonderful hospitality !!! xx

Will be so pleased to be written onto the roll of visitors early in 2020 (Wow! I reckon that’s the first time I’ve written that year. Scarey stuff.)
