Everybody needs nice neighbours

I’ve usually been blessed with nice neighbours and Bagan is no different!

On Mum’s last afternoon our lovely neighbours across from our house… Myo Khai and his mother Daw Ywine Yee invited us to visit.

Mum tried out a locally made swinging chair while being fanned… she has certainly experienced first hand the beautiful Myanmar hospitality. We were treated to some tasty local yams dipped in oil.

In the morning I took mum for a final little ebike trip to a temple followed by drinks overlooking the Irrawaddy River.

Thank you Gordon, Sonia and the Sanon team for a memorable and exciting three weeks – like none other.
I experienced first hand the cross culture chain that gives pleasure to so many…….Gordon and Sonia together, manage to create beautiful friendships, wherever they decide to settle….

  2. Your mum looks so much ‘at home’. What a wonderful experience.
