This morning we flew the Australian Volunteers Program ‘flag’ – donning our AVP T-shirt’s and joined over 50 local Trash Heroes Bagan to spend a couple of hours cleaning up the roadside near Nyaung-U.
Over a couple of hours we filled over 100 garbage bags. There is a long way to go to make Myanmar pristine and rubbish free but I guess you have to start somewhere.
On our return I discovered I lost my phone. I can honestly say I felt confident it would turn up… and it did!
It was delivered to Sanon and one of my colleagues (now a good friend) hand delivered it to me at our home.
Myanmar people are incredibly honest beautiful people… which could be one of the many reasons why we love it so much here.
Every step toward achievable improvement.

I love reading these stories and updates – they fill me with pride and joy. The locals must LOVE having you both in Bagan and all the support you provide to the community.
Am so glad the phone turned up – I thought you were going to say that you might have misplaced it in one of the black bags…….thankfully not the case – xx
