Garbo day

Nothing like a loud chugging garbage truck to draw a community out onto the street.

I’m not sure how this system works, how often the truck comes or how it’s funded but they all seem to.

It’s self service all the way and everyone tosses their refuse in the back of the truck.

We try to limit our garbage as much as possible and toss a small bag into a larger bag that hangs on the fence in front of our local shop.

We also recycle cans and bottles and pop them in a bag just outside our fence… again a mysterious ‘system’ is at work as they always disappear – often within minutes. Methinks there is perhaps a recycling fairy!?!
